Some day laborers and other illegal aliens crowd into "flop houses" around Vienna. Here's what's so frightening: multiple families with children and random adults pack into these homes, often with unsafe electrical and heating units. Not only is this against our zoning laws, it's also a fire hazard. Of course, neighbors will also tell you that these homes are often eye-sores, with people coming and going at all hours of the night.Again, if we know what's going on -- how can the Town not know? Or is it that the Zoning department only checks on the houses during the day, when most everyone is gone? This problem is only going to get worse, as more homes are rented out during the downturn in the real estate market.
